Bass
Burt’s musical journey began in New Jersey, following in his jazz saxophonist father’s footsteps - blowin’ sax in school concert and jazz bands and gigging the Jersey Shore college circuit with The Nightwalkers - a Soul/R&B cover band and The Society - a rock cover band opening for such acts as The Rascals, The Cowsills and Vanilla Fudge.
While in college he picked up blues harp and jammed around Beantown before moving on to a stint with the Las Vegas pop group, The Sky High Band. After settling in San Francisco he pursued his dream of studying classical guitar. Following his muse once again , he took up bass guitar and joined Coastside bands Blue Cowboy and Route 1 Jam. Now, he’s found a home holding it down with Catie Chase and The Getaways.
