Bob "Hatchet" Hatcher
Guitar/Vocals
Bob grew up in southwestern Iowa being strongly influenced by his singer/songwriter/guitarist uncle Jimmy Smith and his down-home, honky-tonkin,
rockabilly a la Elvis and Johnny Cash.
Shortly before moving to the Bay Area in 1966 Bob started guitar lessons and has been at it ever
since.
Playing in several cover bands off and on since the mid-70's, notably, "Nightshift" and the "Rum Runners". Since 1998 Bob has been writing, performing and is a co-founder of the original band "Thunder Gray". As the newest member of the "Getaways", he is grateful to be in the company of quality seasoned musicians and hopes to keep it rockin' and rollin'.
